Love Story | Alix & Ryan
I first met Alix when she had her gorgeous clothing boutique, Alidandi Boutique, upstairs from my studio in The Old Flour Mill.
(Hint: if you looooove fashion, check out the Alidandi website because it's got some gorgeous pieces! You're welcome.)
In February of this year, Alix asked me if I would meet with her and her fiance Ryan, to shoot her wedding in September.
Um... no brainer! Only a crazy person would say no.
Here is a sneak peek of Alix and Ryan's Love Story...............
Alix and Ryan's wedding was all charm, with love and family at the very heart of everything to do with their ceremony.
They were married on Alix's grandparents property at Hattonvale.
Pop built a bridge at the end of the pond, which had just the right amount of lilypads on it be completely picturesque.
And Mammy ("It's MAMMY!"), along with Alix's Mum Laura, headed a dedicated team of wonderful family and friends who put together stunning wedding, ceremony and reception decorations that included so much thought and beauty, it was simply breathtaking.
Alix's three bridesmaids - Chrissy, Kaitlin and Gumby [sorry, Gumby!], all wore Infinity Bridesmaids dresses that were so complimentary in both styles and colour that they looked incredible.
(Except, we wont mention Kaitlin's boobs, I'm sure she's already embarrassed enough. Nothing to see here, people... Except, Kaitlin's boobs. Whoops, my bad.)
Alix's dress was all kinds of wowowowowowowowowowowowowoowow - at least, that's what all the guests said collectively when everyone first laid eyes on her radiant beauty.
And her veil, all the way from New York (that's in America), was just... there are.no.words.
Ryan and his groomsmen - Trav (the Best Man), Joel (his brother) and John (the well picked MC for the evening), with the help of Ryan's Mum and Dad, got ready at Alix and Ryan's home.
His gorgeous Mum helped get him dressed, and made sure he was looking like the Spunky Bum he is.
Ryan, you scrub all right, Old Boy!
Alix and her bridesmaids got their pamper on at Hair Kandy, in Forest Hill.
After a quick trip to get some supplies, they headed to Alix's Grandparents property, where they would be getting dressed and freaking out. (Okay, no one freaked out).
Alix was dressed by Mum, Mammy and her bridesmaid team, with last minute touches by Mammy, and Mum Laura making sure Alix was smelling as good as she looked - which I'm not entirely sure would be possible.
I mean, look at her.
Isn't she just the most gorgeous thing you've ever seen?!
Blessed with good weather - including a light 10 minute sunshower followed by a RAINBOW - HELLO! - it was time.
And Ryan and Alix celebrated their Love Story.
Introducing... Mr and Mrs McKenzie.
Thank you Alix and Ryan for the honour of capturing your Love Story, and being a part of your Big Day.
I wish you all the happiness in the world!
I also want to send out a huge thank you to my amazing Second Shooter, Jodie, for all her help and support both on the day, and leading up to Alix and Ryan's wedding. oxox
Luck and love, Aly oxox
